Matthew graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Exercise Sport Science with majors in Clinical Physiology. He has worked in research settings within large organisations including the University of QLD and QLD Health facilities such as the Greenslopes Public Hospital. His clinical roles have primarily been based in the Warwick area providing professional exercise services to clients referred by General Practitioners (GPs). Matthew is highly motivated and enjoys seeing his patients achieve noticeable and meaningful results with their physical and mental health.

Matthew has experience working with federally funded models of care, and is knowledgeable in the areas of cardiovascular (Heart Disease, Hypertension, Heart Failure), Metabolic (Diabetes, Obesity, etc), Musculoskeletal (Injury rehab and prevention, Work-cover, muscle tears, strains), Pulmonary (COPD, Asthma, Emphysema, Asbestosis), Chronic Pain and general physical health.

Costs:

  • Medicare: The Exercise Physiologist and Dietitian provide Bulk-Billed Medicare services at no cost to the patient if referred through a ‘Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan’ by their GP (eg. 721, 723 or 731).
    DVA: DVA clients are Bulk-Billed with no cost for treatment if referred by their GP.
  • Private Health Fund: Patients seen by the Dietitian or Exercise Physiologist with private health cover may receive a partial rebate of the consultation fee if they have appropriate ‘extras cover’ (rebate usually around 40-80% of the fee).
  • Full Fee Paying: Patients required to pay a full fee to see the Exercise Physiologist or Dietitian are those that are not eligible for any of the mentioned funding streams. Initial consultations are 45-60 mins and follow up consultations are 30mins. Costs will vary per services. For full fee paying clients no Dr referral is required.
